Commitment to Our Heroes

 

Hospice of the Calumet Area is proud to offer our We Honor Veterans program, which celebrates and honors the men and women that are real heroes. At HCA, we are privileged to serve our Veterans with exceptional care, recognition and thanks.

 

Each Hero is recognized with a pinning and certificate ceremony by a Veteran and/or HCA social worker in appreciation for their heroism. The ceremony is our chance to acknowledge the sacrifices they made for our country.

 

Responding to veterans’ unique needs is a priority with Hospice of the Calumet Area. We are proud to participate in the Hospice-Veteran Partnership, (HVP), which coordinates the care of VA patients with local community hospices.

 

We serve on the Indiana HVP committee and help develop and share the best ways to bring comfort to veterans at the end of life. We work closely with the Adam Benjamin, Jr. VA Outpatient Clinic in Crown Point and Chicago-area Veteran’s Hospitals.

 

We share the Department of Veterans Affairs’ commitment to better serve those who served us.
